Uma carta para a Host Family

Essa foi a carta que eu coloquei no meu Application para a Host Family:

Dear Host Family,

Hi. I hope you enjoy reading my letter, because this is the first step in our relationship.

My name is Gabriel Cabrera, I am 16 years old and I live in São Paulo, the biggest city in Brazil, with about 11 million inhabitants. I live with my mother Edna, 45 years old, my father Miguel, 58 years old, and my sister Mariana, 10 years old.

Well, I will tell you what I am used to do here. In the week, at 5:30 a.m., I get up, put my uniform, have breakfast, prepare my backpack, brush my teeth and my dad takes me to school. I arrive there at 6:30 a.m., and my first class starts only at 7:50a.m., so I have much time to study and talk with my friends. My last class finishes at 12:15 p.m., and I have an hour to have lunch and rest, because at 01:15 p.m. starts my technical course of business administration at the same school.

When the technical course finishes, I take the bus to go to the gym. There, I practice many gymnastic exercises with my friends that I love so much.

After a long and tiring day, I come back home and I take a shower. After, I use the computer and watch TV, then I go to bed to sleep.

On Saturdays, I attend English classes, and I have the rest of the weekend to spend with my family watching movies, going to the mall or even staying home with nothing to do.

Well, I like to live here in Brazil so much, and I love my family and my friends of the school and of the gym, but it is a dream this exchange program, because I always loved know new people and learn about different cultures.

There are many things that I like to do. I like to play volleyball and handball, I also like to listen to music of David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga. Dancing, other thing that I like to do, I do a class in the gym called BODYJAM, made in New Zealand, that mixes many rhythms like salsa, mambo, hip hop, house and electronic music.

I hope this experience add many knowledge and responsibility to me, and that we have a good relationship. I would like not only you to share your culture with me, but I will also share my culture with you, cooking and listening to brazilian music.

Best Regards,
Gabriel Cabrera
